About

The mission for Drool School Rescue is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home animals to their forever family.

We are animal advocates and professional trainers that promote giving the best care and training for all animals in need, and build a bond for a lifetime for pets and people.

You can see all of our available dogs on Petfinder, Adopt-A-Pet, or our Facebook page. We do not have a shelter facility to house the dogs, we are foster based so the dogs are all around Southwest Florida. To meet a dog you are interested in, please complete the Adoption Application to start the process (once approved will contact you for a meet and greet) or check out our Events where we bring some of our adoptable dogs.Add an answer to this item.

Please remember that we are a group of volunteers that have full time jobs and families, when we get the chance we will get in touch with you. Sometimes it takes us a few minutes or a few days, but we do our best to reach out to everyone as soon as we can. You can always email adopt@droolschool.org about the status of your application.

Because of our adoption process and being a 100% volunteer-run group, we limit our adoptions to the Southwest Florida area (we do a home check, foster trial, meetups, etc.). If your application is approved, we will get back with you. We appreciate your cooperation and patience!

Drool School Rescue only accepts only owner-surrendered pets if we have a fosters. We do not have the means to pick-up lost, stray, or abused pets. To report a lost, stolen, found, or abused pet, please contact Lee County Domestic Animal Services at 239-533-7387 (LEE-PETS) or visit them at 5600 Banner Dr Fort Myers FL 33912. We can only accept these animals after the hold period at Domestic Animal Services; although keep in mind that is only if the owner does not claim, and if we have an available foster.

We do not receive funding from any government entity nor are we affiliated with any other national or local organizations. We rely on donations, bequests, fundraising events, company sponsors, and grants to sustain our programs and services.
